Even when it’s not Sunday, the Jets can’t stop losing.
Darron Lee’s season ended early Friday as the inside linebacker was suspended four games, effective immediately, for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. With four games left in the season, Lee won’t be able to return to the active roster until the day after the Jets’ Week 17 game against the Patriots.
The former first-round pick has put together a solid season. He had three interceptions — two, including a pick-six, in Week 1 — to go with 74 tackles and five tackles for loss.
