With “friends” like this, Darrelle Revis doesn’t need enemies.
A former member of Revis’ inner circle is tagging him with a range of potentially damaging allegations, putting the Jets star on the defensive while he’s been instrumental in the team’s 4-1 start.
While Revis was not available for comment Monday, sources close to the cornerback portrayed John Geiger — his childhood buddy and longtime marketing manager — as bitter and unstable, and gave no credence to the Twitter diatribe.
Apparently upset at being omitted from a “60 Minutes” profile of Revis that aired Sunday night, Geiger blasted Revis as a drug user and an ungrateful “d–khead” in a rambling, sometimes incoherent series of Twitter posts.
