Sam Darnold returned to the practice field this week and the final hurdle was being cleared for contact. He met with the doctors last night and Adam Gase said, “the labs didn’t come back the way they were hoping”.
Adam Gase just announced that Sam Darnold is out for Sunday. "He did everything he could do", "the labs didn't come back the way they were hoping".
Luke Falk to start on Sunday.

Gase was non committal when asked if he expected Darnold back for the Cowboys game, clearly though that seems to be what he is hoping for.
