So much for second chances.
Former Jets bust Stephen Hill was stopped by police in North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon and given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia, two days before being scheduled to report for training camp with the Carolina Panthers.
According to the police report, the 24-year-old wide receiver was stopped for his failure to wear a seat belt — one of the two misdemeanors he was charged with — and was then discovered to have two grinders with marijuana residue and a marijuana bowl.
A second-round pick of the Jets in 2012, Hill never made much of an impact in two seasons in New York, recording just 45 receptions while struggling with drops.
