Peter Schrager is reporting that free agent TE Mychal Rivera’s visit with the Jets has concluded without an agreement and he’s now scheduled to meet with the Colts.
Last year, there was some talk that Rivera was expected to be available for trade in the weeks leading up to last year’s NFL Draft, but he was never moved in deal.
Rivera, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.265 million rookie contract that included a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
