“Honestly, I am surprised. I’m not sure where this is coming from,” the Jets tight end told The Post after practice Monday. “We never talked politics [in college]. We talked about the pistol offense.”
Kaepernick, the 49ers quarterback, has said he is sitting during the national anthem, to protest the racial problems in America, not as a sign of disrespect to the military and those serving the United States abroad.
