FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets' running-back switcheroo -- goodbye Knile Davis, hello C.J. Spiller -- certainly raises a few questions. Such as:
Why go through so much trouble for a third-string running back? Are Matt Forte (knee) and Bilal Powell (toe) hurting more than the team is letting on? Is Spiller really that much better than Davis?
The Jets put themselves in a potentially embarrassing position, dumping Davis only a few hours after claiming him on waivers. It certainly won't endear them to some agents, but that's the long-term view.
