The Jets have made a move to address their secondary with the signing today of unrestricted free agent cornerback Morris Claiborne, who played his first five NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.
Claiborne (5'11", 188) was taken by Dallas in the first round, sixth overall, of the 2012 draft after a standout college career at LSU (11 interceptions in the 2010-11 seasons combined) that led some draft analysts to label him the best defensive player available in that draft. He first became an unrestricted free agent last year but was re-signed by the 'Pokes to a one-year deal after two days on the FA market.
