EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Brandon Marshall preferred to talk about how much his teammates did Sunday to help the Jets secure their fifth straight victory, a 26-20 overtime decision over the rival New England Patriots. But when asked about his part in the win, Marshall said, yes, he was proud of himself, too.
Marshall, the 6-4, 229-pound receiver who was traded to the Jets by the Chicago Bears in March, had eight catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and with his first catch, he broke a tie with Al Toon to become the Jets’ all-time leader for catches in a single season.
