Brandon Marshall says Kaepernick’s a ‘patriot’

Brandon Marshall came out in support of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Tuesday.

Marshall, appearing on WFAN, said he supports Kaepernick’s decision not to stand for the national anthem out of protest.

“This guy, he’s one of the biggest patriots out there,” Marshall said on the radio station. “Because he’s standing up for human rights.”

Marshall appeared on “Boomer and Carton” with former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason, who last week blasted Kaepernick. Marshall strongly disagreed with Esiason, with whom he appears on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL.”

“You’re 100 percent wrong,” Marshall told Esiason.

Marshall said he will be standing on Sunday for the national anthem.
