Brandon Marshall accepts humanitarian award on same day as ‘assault’ trial

A woman suing Jets star Brandon Marshall suffered long-term psychological damage after the wide receiver allegedly punched her outside a Manhattan nightclub four years ago, the u200bwoman’s lawyer said u200bin court u200bTuesday.

During opening statements of a Manhattan federal civil trialu200b against the Jet, lawyer Joshua Moskovitz said the Jets star has caused his client Christin Myles “intense physical fear and psychological fear, and that’s not surprising given the strength of Marshall.”

Christin Myles is suing Marshall for at least $75,000 for the March 11, 2012, incident outside Marquee nightclub.

Moskovitz urged the jury of three women and nine men not to cut Marshall any slack just because he’s rich and famous.
