Eric Decker spikes the ball after a first-quarter touchdown.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Jets will go into their grudge match with Rex Ryan on a high note after holding off the lowly Jaguars on Sunday.

The 28-23 victory at MetLife Stadium allowed the Jets to snap a two-game losing streak and take sole possession of second place in the AFC East into Thursday night’s much-anticipated Meadowlands homecoming by Ryan and the Bills.

Ageless veteran Calvin Pace saved the day for the Jets with 5:16 left when he caused Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles to fumble deep in Gang Green territory, then recovered it himself at the Jets’ 34-yard line.
