While not everyone is happy about Adam Gase being tabbed as the Jets’ new head coach, Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery thinks he could work wonders with young gun Sam Darnold in New York.
Jeffery got an up-close look at the way Gase can transform a quarterback when both were with the Bears in 2015, with the former Dolphins coach serving as offensive coordinator in Chicago.
“Darnold will be an MVP in this league working with Gase,” Jeffery told NJ Advance Media on Thursday. “The way Gase works with quarterbacks, the next year and over the years to come, I expect big things coming from those two.
