FLORHAM PARK -- A day after seeing former teammate Richard Sherman rupture his Achilles tendon during a Thursday night game, Jets wide receiver Jermaine Kearse on Friday called for the NFL to stop playing these short-turnaround games on Thursdays.
Kearse did not hesitate when asked if he thinks the league should ditch these games.
"Yeah," he said. "I can't speak on the majority of the players [and if they feel the same way], but I can speak for myself. And I don't think it's helpful [to play on Thursdays].
