Adam Gase’s first shot to back up Jets’ trust will be ugly

LANDOVER, Md. — The Jets have not won two games in a row in 13 months. The Redskins have not scored a touchdown in 13 quarters.
Something has got to give.

The Jets (2-7) and Redskins (1-8) get together Sunday at FedEx Field for a matchup of two teams struggling to find their ways. The Jets are coming off a rare win last week over the Giants and are hoping to go on a late-season run to some respectability. The Redskins have an interim coach, a rookie quarterback making his second start and are one loss away from their third straight losing season.
