Joe Namath has the New York Jets’ all-time passing record for most yards thrown in a season with 4,007 yards. Ryan Fitzpatrick has the Jets record for most TDs thrown in a season with 31. Aaron Rodgers is currently at 3,255 yards and 23 touchdowns with 3 games left to play. For now, we will ignore the fact that Namath’s 4,007 yards were thrown in a 14-game season and that Fitzpatrick’s 31 TDs were thrown in a 16-game season. It’s unfortunate that stars of the past get buried due to this phenomenon of adding games and then people just look at totals but we are not here to discuss the ethics of the matter!
