OAKLAND -- When it comes to the New York Jets and New England Patriots, it's always something.
The latest chapter in the Border War involves a locker room that was or wasn't checked for bugs -- you know, listening devices.
On Thursday night, during the Patriots-Miami Dolphins broadcast on Westwood One radio, analyst Boomer Esiason said a "source" told him the Jets had asked the NFL office to sweep their Gillette Stadium locker room on Sunday for bugs. A source with knowledge of the situation said Monday night the Jets never made the request.
On Friday morning, Esiason repeated his nugget on his weekday WFAN radio show.
