Today the Jets took to the field without pads after a day off following Saturday night’s Green & White practice. Despite only wearing spider pads, head coach Todd Bowles noticed midway through practice that his team was sluggish and ordered his men to hit the line and run some old-school gassers.

“Coach said we have to pick it up, then we have to pick it up,” said LB Demario Davis after practice.

“It’s very much a mental day when you take the pads off and it’s a little less physical.
