The Jets have their replacement at left tackle for D'Brickashaw Ferguson, and it's a veteran with a pretty good track record: On Saturday evening, the Jets traded a fifth-round pick to the Broncos in exchange for Ryan Clady and a seventh-rounder, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Jets had no experienced tackles on the roster other than Breno Giacomini, who's the starter on the right side. (They did reach an agreement to re-sign Ben Ijalana, but as Ferguson's backup the last three years, Ijalana barely played.) The Jets had to do something, and Clady just happened to be there for the taking because the Broncos had just signed ex-Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung, and the Broncos were looking to free up some salary-cap space.
