FLORHAM PARK -- The Jets wrapped up their sixth camp practice on Friday, and it certainly wasn't a pretty one for the offense.
Seriously. It was ugly. At one point, coach Todd Bowles made the entire third-team offense run a lap for a pre-play screwup. It was quite the scene to see Bryce Petty leading a brisk jog around the practice field.
But, if you're a glass half full kind of person, this report is for you. Here are the three stars from the workout:
MARCUS MAYE, safety: The rookie is really starting to come into his own, and --despite his 6-0, 207- pound frame -- is an awfully physical player.
