Islanders general manager Garth Snow says he won’t trade high draft picks for a rental player at this year’s NHL trade deadline.
Snow is looking for his roster to find some consistency in what’s been an inconsistent season. A wild card berth is within reach and Snow doesn’t want to jeopardize the future by trading key assets now.
“We will always explore every opportunity to make our team better and are always looking for high character players that fit our system,” Snow said at the team’s practice facility today.
