Barry Trotz is not expecting to feel any stirs of emotion as he sees the second-year Vegas Golden Knights for the first time since he led the Capitals to a five-game victory over them in the Stanley Cup final.
But the coach also said he does not expect to see a much different team from the one he faced in June when the Islanders host the Golden Knights on Wednesday night at Barclays Center.
“I have been watching them,” Trotz said. “Both Washington and Vegas are playing like the two teams that played in the Final last year.
