While you were settling into a pizza and the latest episode of The Mandalorian on this fine Friday evening, the Islanders were making a trade with the Red Wings for forward Dmytro Timashov.
Going the other way are everybody’s favorite nebulous currency, Future Considerations. In exchange for... essentially nothing, the Islanders acquired the 24-year old Ukrainian winger who has 44 NHL games under his belt between Toronto and Detroit.
Drafted by the Leafs in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, Timashov won a Calder Cup with the Marlies and had 107 points (38 goals and 69 assists) over three seasons in the AHL.
