Welcome to the 2015 NHL playoffs. You didn’t think it would be easy, did you?
After a game one in which the Islanders dominated a lack-luster Washington Capitals team en route to a 4-1 victory, the roles were very much reversed last night as the series was evened up in our nationals capitals after a 4-3 Caps win.
It was a game where New York, though leading 3-1 midway through the second period, never really could feel good about as Washington was dominant in shot attempts and puck possession, keeping rookie goaltender Phillip Grubauer protected by mounting a vicious offensive attack, one everyone knew they were capable of.
