Anatoly Golyshev was drafted in the 4th round (95th overall) as an overage 21-year-old prospect in 2016, after putting up 25 goals and 44 points in 56 games with Yekaterinburg Avtomobilist in the KHL. He also won silver at the 2015 World Junior Championship, and had 3 assists in 6 games. Golyshev is only 5’9”, which puts him on the smaller side for NHL forwards.
Golyshev had a poor 2016-17 season, with only 17 points in 49 games in the KHL, and he spent some time in the VHL, the second-tier hockey league in Russia. However, his 2017-18 was much more promising, with 18 goals and 31 points in 40 games.
