Game 5 between the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers could not be decided in one overtime period, thanks to Islanders goalie Thomas Greiss.
Greiss stopped Panthers center Aleksander Barkov on a penalty shot -- just the third in NHL playoff overtime history -- after Calvin de Haan was caught gloving and tossing the puck with his feet in the crease.
It was Barkov who scored early in the third period to tie the game at 1-1, and the Panthers chose him to try for another big moment.
Like the other two playoff overtime penalty shots before them (both from back in the '90s), Barkov's shot was unsuccessful.
