Old Nassau Coliseum was built for hockey, and the noise level could be deafening. Barclays Center, a Brooklyn meeting place of suburban and urban, was not built for hockey.

Of course, there isn’t a ballpark, stadium or arena that isn’t built for a team that plays with heart and fight, especially around here.

Most of the time, it is the team inside the facility that matters more than the facility. There would have been no such thing as the Monster of Madison Square Garden without a monster of a Knicks team that played there.
