Sydney Esiason does not expect to spend a lot of time in her family home this postseason, even with her boyfriend’s Islanders eliminated.
Sydney is the daughter of Boomer Esiason, who bleeds Rangers blue and red, especially during the postseason.
“Matt and I weren’t actually allowed in the house when the Rangers were in the Stanley Cup because my dad thought we were bad luck,” Sydney said of last season’s five-game loss to the Kings.
“Every time we stepped inside the house, the Kings would score, the Rangers would lose. I probably won’t be allowed into my own family home and Matt won’t be getting home-cooked meals for a while.
