Christian Arnold, Islanders Point Blank:
SYOSSET, N.Y. — The Islanders are six days away from their season opener against the Chicago Blackhawks and the status of starting goaltender Jaroslav Halak remains murky.
Halak did not skate with his teammates during practice at the Islanders’ practice facility on Long Island, but he was in the building. Head coach Jack Capuano did not give any indication on whether or not the Isles’ starter will be in net on Friday.
Capuano even echoed the same phrase of “I don’t know” as he did on Thursday after practice about Halak’s status for the season opener.
