PA Parenteau returns to Islanders on one-year deal

The Islanders are bringing back a familiar face for the 2016-17 season.

PA Parenteau will return to the Islanders on a one-year contract, the team announced Saturday.

The deal is worth $1.25 million.

Parenteau spent two seasons with the islanders between 2010 and 2012, playing all but three games. He recorded 129 points, including 38 goals in his first stint with the team.

The Quebec native has bounced around since leaving the isles, playing two seasons with the Colorado Avalanche before one season each with the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. In 236 games across those four seasons, Parenteau recorded 139 points.
