No Controversy: Islanders re-sign Prince to two-year contract worth $850K per

After splashing in the unrestricted free agent waters earlier today, the Islanders took care of some internal business in the evening, signing winger Shane Prince to a two-year contract worth $850,000 against the cap.

Prince was a restricted free agent and will remain so after the end of the deal, according to General Fanager (subject to change per confirmation).

Acquired from Ottawa at the trade deadline for a third round pick in this year's draft, Prince scored three regular season goals to go along with three in the playoffs.
