Josh Ho-Sang and the New York Islanders have had a rocky relationship almost from the first second their paths intersected at the 2014 NHL draft. Josh Ho-Sang was a great OHL prospect in his draft year with 85 points in 67 games for the Windsor Spitfires. He should have been a lock for a first-round pick. But his attitude off the ice scared teams away from drafting.
And that’s where the New York Islanders stepped in to take him with the 28th overall pick in the draft. GM Garth Snow traded two second-round picks 35th, and 57th overall to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the privilege of drafting Ho-Sang.
