As the New York Islanders gear up for the playoffs, Lou Lamoriello is busy filling out the organizational depth by signing prospects. Yesterday, Lamoriello added Mason Jobst to the prospect pool.
The Islanders and Mason Jobst agreed to terms on a two-year entry-level contract. Jobst, 25, has spent the last four seasons playing hockey at Ohio State. Jobst’s best season at OSU came in 2016-2017.
As a sophomore, he had an impressive 55 point (19 goals, 36 assists) season in just 39 games. He was named the captain for his junior year where he went on to put up 21 goals, a collegiate career high for Jobst.
