My favorite day of the year is when the New York Islanders shoot their America’s VetDogs calendar. Yesterday, they gathered the team at the practice rink and brought in the dogs for some amazing content.
For the past four years, the Islanders have been doing these calendars to help raise money for America’s VetDogs, based out of St. James, New York. What they do is raise puppies and train them to be service dogs for veterans and anyone else who may need a service dog.
It costs upwards of $50,000 to breed, raise, train, and place just one assistance dog.
