New York Islanders Shane Prince Out 4-6 Months With Surgery

New York Islanders forward Shane Prince will miss the start of the 2017-18 season. He’ll actually miss more than that. After aggravating an injury sustained at the end of the 2016-17 season Prince will be out 4-6 months. A time table that takes him to March 2018.

Prince came to the Islanders by way of trade at the 2016 deadline for the Isles third round pick that season. He’d put up five points in 20 games. And added another four in eleven games during the Islanders 2016 post-season run.

None better than a two goal effort to win game one of the Isles first trip to the second round of the playoffs in 23 years.
