After making the team straight out of camp in the 2016-17 NHL season, New York Islanders youngster Anthony Beauvillier looked like a legitimate NHL player. Not a superstar, not even a star, but a solid NHL player.
In his first 66 games played he put up 24 points last season. Again, not jaw-dropping numbers, but certainly serviceable at the NHL level. Beau was a solid two-way way player with a goal scoring nack.
But this season it just hasn’t seemed to have picked up for the 20-year-old. With 31 games played to date he has seven points.
