New York Islanders Re-sign Dennis Seidenberg With a Raise

Before the season last year the New York Islanders signed Dennis Seidenberg as a depth signing. Seidenberg was playing in the World Cup of Hockey for Team Europe without an NHL contract hoping to land a deal.

He did just that with the Isles as he signed a one-year $1 million contract on the eve of the season. The 35-year old veteran had his best year in a long time in his first year with the blue and orange.

He posted a 22 point season, his first season with over 20 points since 2011-2012. The most impressive stat of them all was his +/-.
