The New York Islanders last scored on the power play way back on November 15th, 2018. They haven’t scored on the power play over their last 17 opportunities on the man advantage. Something clearly needs to change.
When it comes to the power play you name it and the Islanders are having an issue. Inability to enter the offensive zone? Check. Problems creating movement by cycling the puck quickly? Check. Inability to generate or take chances? Check and check.
As the Islanders search for an answer within the roster, there’s an obvious option hanging out in the AHL.
