Unfortunately, it took a Thomas Hickey injury for Devon Toews to be called up but he’s here now for the New York Islanders. He will make his NHL debut, likely on this road trip.
So what can we expect from a defenseman that’s impressed Islanders fans over the last three years in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers?
Judging by how the Islanders have treated he two other call-ups they’ve made this season (Michael Dal Colle and Josh Ho-Sang) and with the travel and no practice time, you’d think Toews doesn’t play against the Golden Knights.
