Hockey is back! Well, it’s kind of back. The New York Islanders prospects took on the Flyers prospects in Philadelphia. It was a tight, entertaining 5-4 game which the Islanders won in a shootout thanks to Oliver Wahlstrom.
Ollie looked good against the other prospects. He had the only shootout goal, which is nice to maybe finally have someone who can convert in the shootout, and had a great defensive play.
Wahlstrom isn’t really known for his defense but this play will certainly catch the coaches eyes. Laying out and stopping a sure goal is something that gets you noticed when trying to make a roster, maybe more so than the shootout goal.
