The New York Islanders announced on Twitter Monday that Nikolay Kulemin underwent successful surgery today, signaling the end of the forward’s season.

Kulemin was injured on a hit by Eric Gryba during the Islanders’ 2-1 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers last Wednesday and has not played since.
Through 13 games, Kulemin compiled a goal and three points while playing primarily on the Islanders’ fourth line.
