The New York Islanders announced today that Nikolai Kulemin had a successful surgery and will be on the shelf for six months. Kulemin hasn’t played since the Islanders overtime loss to the Oilers.

Unfortunately for Kulemin, this likely ends his season. Six months from now is mid-May so unless the Islanders make a deep playoff run we won’t see him again this year.
