Over the past two years, the New York Islanders have seen their best defenseman regress. Nick Leddy, someone you could pencil in for 40 points and solid defensive play has done anything but that since December 2017.
In 2017-2018, Leddy started strong in October and November and then fell off a cliff. He finished the season a -42, which was the worst in the league by eight goals. Going into this year there was debate as to who was the number one defenseman, Nick Leddy or Ryan Pulock.
Well, after this year it’s pretty obvious that Pulock is that guy.
