Many New York Islanders fans were devastated when Matt Martin left the Island. Yes, he signed a nice four year, $10 million contract in Toronto and you couldn’t really blame him. He was a fan favorite and crucial part of the best fourth line in hockey that consisted of Martin, Cizikas, and Clutterbuck.
Fast Forward to 2018 and Martin is back on the New York Islanders, and showing signs of not only being the league’s top hitter but an in front of the net bruiser who can also score goals. Martin has played 10 games this year, compiling three goals already.
