Both Connor McDavid and New York Islanders Mathew Barzal were drafted in the first round of the 2015 draft. McDavid was drafted first overall by the Edmonton Oilers, and what should have been the Oilers 16th overall pick was given to the Isles in a trade for Griffin Reinhart.
