Kieffer Bellows’ goal for 2018-19 was to make the New York Islanders 2018-19 roster. It’s all the son of former NHL’er Brian Bellows could talk about.
A year ago NHL.com’s Brian Compton asked the Islanders first-round pick from 2015 what his plan was, and in no uncertain terms, the Isles prospect let it be known that his sights were on the NHL in 2018-19.
With the year Bellows had in 2017-18 playing in the WHL that plan looked like it would absolutely come to fruition. That was until new General Manager Lou Lamoriello picked up a number of player in free agency.
