The New York Islanders missed an opportunity last night. The Washington Capitals lost and they could’ve got within one point of first place with two games remaining (one of which is in Washington).
A regulation win would’ve kept the Maple Leafs from clinching as well. Unfortunately, the Islanders weren’t able to get the offense going, except for Jordan Eberle that is.
Once again, Jordan Eberle was able to find the back of the net at the 14:55 mark of the period. His goal made it a one-goal game giving the Islanders life.
