New York Islanders star forward Mathew Barzal has been dominating the NHL in his first full-season and an end is nowhere near in sight. The 20-year-old has scored 51 points in 50 games (16 goals, 35 assists) and is a plus-seven on the year.
Barzal headlines the midseason vote for the Calder Trophy, beating out Vancouver Canucks rookie Brock Boeser and Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
