So what am I talking about when I say the New York Islanders ‘player personnel’? I’m talking about the on-ice product and the decisions the Isles took in trying to build the best on-ice product possible.
This list won’t talk about trying to sell the team to John Spanos. Or letting both Mike Millbury and Garth Snow control the team for an insane twenty-two and a half years combined. Nor will I be talking about Jack Capuano and his incredible six-year career with the Isles.
I wanted to list some of the Islanders most confusing decisions or biggest missed opportunities when it came to their roster.
