New York Islanders Extend Shane Prince

A native of Rochester, NY, Shane Prince was the last player picked in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Chosen by the Ottawa Senators, Prince played minor hockey for the OHL’s Ottawa 67’s.

Shane Prince played one more year in juniors after his draft, scoring 90 points in 57 games played. He spent three years with the AHL Binghamton Senators, scoring 148 points in 206 games. He debuted in the NHL in 2014-15, playing in two games for Ottawa.

Last season, Prince spent his season playing 42 games with the Senators, scoring 12 points.
